YP Mentoring Session:

Navigating Careers in Federal Architecture, Engineering, & Construction

Join us for an exclusive mentoring session tailored for young professionals in the federal Architecture, Engineering, & Construction industry, hosted by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). This event brings together senior leaders from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and industry experts to share actionable insights on leadership, career growth, and the evolving landscape of federal construction.

The session begins with a networking reception featuring Charcuterie and refreshments to foster connections.

A dynamic panel discussion follows, featuring:

  •      BG Zachary Miller, Commander, USACE South Atlantic Division (SAD)
  •         Tom Tickner, former USACE Savannah District Commander, Woolpert
  •          Melissa Burns, GHD
  •          Paul Owens, HDR
  •          Megan Williams, City of Savannah
  •          Dr. Larry McCallister, USACE SAD

Moderated by Lexie Baylor, Coastal Engineer, GHD, and Courtney Messer, Project Manager, USACE Savannah District, the panel will explore critical topics such as career navigation, essential skills for success, overcoming challenges, and the importance of mentorship and networking.

The session concludes with an interactive Q&A, allowing participants to engage directly with the panelists and mentors, followed by closing remarks summarizing key takeaways and outlining opportunities for continued professional development. Registration is required.
